Day in the Life – Winter 2026 Edition

I love doing these Day in the Life posts (I’ve been doing them since my oldest daughter was less than 2 year old and she is 15 now!) and it is fun to see how much life changes as the years go by.

Outfit Details

7:00 a.m. I wake up (no alarm) but because I had such a hard time falling asleep last night, I turn over and drift in and out of sleep until about 7:25 when Bart gets out of bed. I get up and put on my workout clothes and then go into my office where I post my reel for the day. Ani is up and getting ready for school. Bart heads to the gym with some friends.

8:00 a.m. My phone turns off social media so I take the laundry downstairs to start the first load and wake up my two younger girls so Tally will be ready for her Savvy Math class and then I do a workout video in the gym. Ani heads out for school and I see Ella getting ready too.

8:45 a.m. I come back upstairs and start my breakfast and bring in the groceries and get them put away. Bart comes home from the gym and we chat for a few minutes. I send Star and Tally to their room to get dressed, put away their laundry and clean up their room. I go into the bathroom and shower, dress, and do my hair and makeup.

9:30 a.m. The two little girls knock on the bathroom door both pretty upset about the fight they got into while cleaning their room. Bart and I help them calm down and I switch the laundry and do their hair. Ani is home from school now and makes herself a little snack. Tally goes into my room to do her Savvy Reading class.

10:00 a.m. I hop on a call with one of my team members and we go through the schedule for the week, give each other some assignments and wrap up in less than 25 minutes (ideal!). I start going through the Friday questions that came in over the weekend. I post some stories and then Bart comes home from running errands including bringing me a big bouquet of roses (happy Valentine’s week to me!).

11:30 a.m. Time for family reading. We gather in the living room and everyone reads their own books (I’m reading My Husband’s Wife – it’s not bad but I’m thinking this might be my last Alice Feeney book).

12:00 p.m. Time for history – I read aloud to the girls while Star does my hair and then I ask all the questions from the history book. They do great!

12:30 p.m. Bart comes up from his office for lunch and plays some chess with Star while I make myself a protein smoothie.

1:00 p.m. I’ve just finished being in charge of the children’s group at church and the woman who is taking over this assignment comes over so I can give her the rundown.

2:25 p.m. I’ve told her alllll the things now so she heads out and I sit down at my desk to work. I post on stories, write some blog posts, answer all the Friday questions, and work on this post.

4:50 p.m. My little girls get home from running club and go into the kitchen to make hot chocolate and set the table for dinner. Time to clear out my inbox and post my evening reel before I go make dinner!

5:30 p.m. This is late for me to start dinner, but I’m making turkey burgers which won’t take long. I notice that Tally has fallen asleep on the couch listening to Nanny Piggins – she was worn out! Ella is prepping items for her school lunch (she uses this lunch cookbook a lot) and we chat in the kitchen while she works on her dishes and I work on dinner.

6:05 p.m. Everyone comes up for dinner and we wake up Tally. We eat dinner and chat and then do family scripture reading. Bart does some of the dishes and then turns it over to the girls and we go into our room to fold and put away our laundry and remake the bed so we won’t have to do it after the party we’re going to tonight.

7:30 p.m. We walk over to the party – this Valentine’s Day party includes about 10 couples and then a couple none of us knows will show up in a bit. We sit with all the men on one side of the room and the women on the other and then the couple we don’t know spends the next 90 minutes trying to figure out what couples go together. There are questions, dance moves, handshakes and whatever else they can think of to identify who is a couple. We laugh so so much and when all the couples are correctly matched up, we sit around and chat for another hour or so.

10:10 p.m. We get home and the house is quiet and dark. We go down and say goodnight to the girls that are still awake and then quickly get ready for bed and go to sleep.
