7 Really Great Book Deals for the Middle of September
We’re in Aspen as a family this weekend to celebrate my birthday (I turn 40 tomorrow!) and we’re enjoying just hanging out, swimming, playing games, and working on puzzles.
Here are some book deals I’m loving this weekend:

Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson – audiobook – $5.99
After Kelsey on the Everyday Reading Team recommended this one on the Printable 2025 Summer Reading Guide, it went straight onto my TBR list. It’s by the same author as Black Cake and sounds gripping! Ebby Freeman’s world shattered the night her brother was killed and a family heirloom was lost. Years later in France, she uncovers secrets tied to the artifact that could rewrite everything.

The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young – audiobook – $5.99
This book was so buzzy last year and made the 2025 Everyday Reading Book Club List (I LOVED it!). This story follows June Farrow, a woman in her mid-thirties, living in the small town of Jasper, running her family flower farm. Her life isn’t ordinary though. All of the Farrow women in her bloodline have been known to go mad as they age and June has been holding her breath her entire life knowing it would happen. As she starts to hear and see things that aren’t really there, she starts digging into her mother’s past to try and find answers.

Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell – audiobook – $6.99
This was one of my favorite reads of 2024! I REALLY love Rainbow Rowell and this one absolutely worked for me. Her books generally aren’t fast paced but they are so richly told with great character development and swoony romance and this one was one where I had to keep stopping to just soak it all in. I blew through the audiobook in a day or two and I wish it had been twice as long! (The ebook is also on sale for $1.99 if you would rather read it.)

The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary – ebook – $1.99
I’m a lifelong fan of Beverly Clearly and I particularly love little mouse Ralph (despite the fact that in real life I hate mice more than almost anything).

The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart – ebook – $2.99
Coyote and her dad have lived together on the road in an old school bus for the past five years, ever since her mom and two sisters died in a car crash. She hasn’t been back to her home state of Washington in all that time, but when she learns the park where she and her mom had buried a cherished memory box is about to be demolished, she devises a plan to get her dad to drive over 3,000 miles in four days to retrieve it.
