Because of his nosy nature, he ends up in the middle of a murder case and only Theo knows the truth about the main suspect. As an adult reader, I didn’t love it nearly as much as his adult mysteries, but it’s still a fun read. (Full review here)

Ella never met a fractured fairy tale she didn’t like, so I knew immediately that this series would be a hit. And indeed it was. (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

Rainbow Valley by L. M. Montgomery – audiobook – $2.99
This is book #7 in the Anne of Green Gables series. I read this classic series so many times as a child! I read it aloud to my girls a few years ago and they loved it as much as I do. A pure delight! (Plus, this one is a Libro.FM deal so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware – audiobook – $7.00
I’ve went on a huge Ruth Ware kick a few summers ago (I read five of her books between July and September) and this one just feels right as my next pick! Watch me accidentally read the rest of her books this year!

Meet Me in the Margins by Melissa Ferguson – audiobook – $3.99
This is such a cute fun romance! An editor at Savannah’s dream publishing company is asking for the manuscript of a romance novel she has been secretly writing behind the scenes, while working at a different publishing company. She hides her manuscript in a hidden room, but later discovers someone has found it and started jotting very critical edits in the margins. This mystery editor is not only helping make her manuscript better, but could she be falling for him too?

Plotting Summer by Jess Heileman – audiobook – $4.99
I love a good summer beach read, and this one fits the bill (plus, it has TONS of 5-star reviews!). When Capri returns to Sunset Harbor, she must hide her identity as a secret romance author writing under her lifelong crush Tristan’s name. Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield – ebook – $1.99
This bestseller was one of the first books I read after I finished my undergrad degree and started reading in earnest again. It definitely has that Gothic feel to it and so many unexpected twists. Vera Winter is a famous novelist and has never told the real story about her life until her death is approaching and she asks a young woman she doesn’t know to be the one to write her real biography.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson – audiobook – $4.99
I read this classic Christmas read-aloud to my girls a few years ago and it was so fun to revisit. We all got a huge kick out of the Herdman siblings, dubbed “the worst kids in the history of the world” who show up at church because of the free snacks and somehow take over the whole Christmas pageant. This one is a nice short read, so if you’re looking for something that you can get through in a couple of days or a week, this is a good pick. French Kids Eat Everything by Karen Le Billon – audiobook
I loved this book and though it was in a similar vein to “Bringing Up Bebe,” I thought this was much more useful and applicable for people living in the US. (Full review here)
