Book Deals for a Summer Weekend
This has been a busy week with the Prime Day sale but happily the deals I care most about are still going on!
You can still get 3 free months of Audible, 4 free months of Amazon Music Unlimited (which includes a free audiobook listen every month!) and 3 free months of Kindle Unlimited.
Make sure to grab those before the deals end!
And here are some book deals I’m loving this weekend:

Summer in the City by Alex Aster – ebook $1.99
I thought this book was pure fun (and made me want to book a flight to NYC)! It follows Elle, a screenwriter, working on a movie in NYC most iconic spots. She is not thrilled because she has writer’s block AND really doesn’t like NYC. And to make things worse…her next door neighbor turns out to be Parker, a tech billionaire, she CAN’T STAND! And in all enemies to lovers – you can guess what happens next. This one reads a lot like Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez’s early books. It does have a few open door scenes.

Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield- ebook $1.99
This bestseller was one of the first books I read after I finished my undergrad degree and started reading in earnest again. It definitely has that Gothic feel to it and so many unexpected twists. Vera Winter is a famous novelist and has never told the real story about her life until her death is approaching and she asks a young woman she doesn’t know to be the one to write her real biography.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown – ebook $1.99
Darrow is a simple miner on Mars, working as hard as possible to prepare Mars for the rest of civilization. Despite his efforts, he soon realizes he has been betrayed by society. Mars is already thriving with cities, lush greenery and much more – making him realize that he and his people (the Reds) are nothing more than slaves for the rest of mankind. Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the ruling classes school in his design to destroy the society from within. Analese’s husband has read this entire series and has loved every single one!

We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers – ebook $3.99
This one made it on the 2023 Everyday Reading Book Club List and I was thrilled to read it a second time! It’s a fun read and quite different than a lot of the money books I’ve read in the past. It’s full of practical tips, not just high level information and Rachel Rodgers, a mother of four, attorney, and self-made millionaire, shares what’s she’s learned on her own path to seven figure status, plus how she’s helped hundreds of other women do the same. I love her writing style and how she debunks lots of the bad financial advice you’ve probably heard throughout your life. And if you feel like it’s wrong to want to be a millionaire, she’ll debunk that for you too!

Mother-Daughter Night Murder by Nina Simon – audiobook $6.99
This one sounds really fun, it is described as “Gilmore Girls, but with murder” as a grandmother, mother, and daughter trio try to solve the murder next door.

Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner – audiobook $2.99
I read this one a handful of years ago and loved it! I love Wallace Stegner’s writing style and storytelling and this one was no exception. This one follows a wheelchair-bound historian as he tells the story of his grandparents’ lives who resided in America.
